We all know a good Christmas movie involves an affair so the two have become synonymous to each other but here are the seasons affairs happen the most. This is based on when we at Delta 74 see the most enquiries and work come into us so whilst it isn’t hard data we can see a pattern!
The Most Obvious
Of course, I’ve mentioned it already. Christmas is our busiest time and is when we see the most enquiries and sales by far.
That said, the Christmas period itself does have a timeframe in which we see it reach it’s peak and then fall off the cliff for both sales and enquiries.
Come December 18th/19th we have seen over the past 5 years the enquiries stop. Dead. So cheating partners are moving and shaking in the run up to Christmas and the party starts usually around November 28th after the last payday before Christmas when gifts have been bought and need to be shared, in secret.
Coming in a hot second place
In second place is the month of September. Why?
The kids go back to school and the family holidays are over! For the United Kingdom it was a long 6 weeks where childcare needed to be managed, movements are restricted and holidays took priority for the cheating partners so they hold the image of being the good husband or wife.
So, once the kids are back and routines are in place again, free movement comes with it and cheating can continue. We always see a dip in cheating spouse work over August in the UK but September definitely is the opposite!
The Trends
The most common trend for cheating partner movements really is the kids school terms. When the kids are off school cheating really does slow down.
It makes complete sense once you realise it but if your partner becomes a better one during the kids holidays, is it the work stress lifting or is it their attention is back home and not elsewhere?
It’s something to think about and watch out for.
Finishing Off
A very short blog for this month but since starting this job as a private investigator, it took me a while to recognise that cheating was seasonal and then notice which seasons affairs happen the most or which have dips. It took me to look at both from a human element and a business point of view to see it.
If you’re gut feeling is off this could be a tool in the box to use to look for unusual behaviours changes in your partner.
