When I first started as a surveillance operator, I met with all sorts of other people including genuine spies from the likes of MI5. I was told to never trust a spy and someone asked me can you trust a private investigator? I’m going to detail the best way to trust one, especially when you need one.
In the first instance I’m going to list exactly why you can’t trust one so it is then giving the comparisons directly.
This one comes with the territory. We need to lie about why we are in a certain area during surveillance operations to maintain our cover stories so the entire neighbourhood doesn’t become aware of what we’re doing. We lie when we carry out what is called a ‘pre-text’ enquiry. With this skill being utilised a lot, we usually become good at it.
Now this one is different for all of my clients with how I run Delta 74 but a lot of my clients I never actually meet. If you never meet me and have the face to face conversation, for a lot of people you cannot build real trust. This does go both ways..
This plays into the ethics of the job and how we achieve our results. You don’t see us carrying out our work even when we’re outside of your house (or at least you’re not meant to) so seeing the physical work like you would a builder is just not going to happen and for a lot of clients, they want to be reassured the work is going smoothly.
Can you trust a private investigator? Here are the reasons why you can trust a PI, especially Delta 74.
This is the paramount of everything we do. We won’t share your case online to boost our own marketing and we most certainly won’t let loose lips sink ships.
We are absolute professionals who do what we say we will do. Why? Purely because this beats 70% of the competition so we never overpromise and underdeliver.
We’re ex military. I’m personally an ex-Royal Marines Commando and that comes with holding myself to a set of ethics and standards burnt into me after an 8 year career there.
Our reviews don’t lie. At the writing of this article we have over 55 5* reviews on Google. Social trust for us is paramount and what our clients say is crucial to me.
Our experience levels mean we have seen a lot. I have personally worked all over Europe in this role and seen plenty of tricks people who are hiding like to try.
The kit and equipment we use is all tried and tested. We know what works well and what doesn’t. Researching the latest gadgets to use isn’t a boring past time so we are always improving too.
Choosing a PI is a huge decision which must not be made lightly. Why? Because you will need to share all of the details about the situation to enable us to get the best results. This means placing yourself in a very vulnerable position and opening up.
Knowledge is power. Here’s how to spot a trustworthy PI;
Do they offer a face to face consultation with you? If you ask for a meeting in person how do they react to this and if it’s anything other than a matter of travel and geography then you need to wonder why.
Check their Google listings for reviews in the first instance. Google reviews are the most valuable compared to other sites so if they don’t have them there ask why. Google police fake reviews with vigour! If a review is on Google, it is 99% not a fake.
The investigation industry is a lot bigger than people think and we can’t do it all. When you’re enquiring make sure the service you require is on that the PI is an expert in.
This is the same with all services. If someone is too cheap then why? Too expensive, why? Learn the average costs of private investigator services and choose an agency in your price range and one that is about average as they will be the quiet experts in the field, like us.
Not everyone will trust me. That’s fine but other’s will trust me to the end. If your gut feeling if off about about person trust it! When making enquiries for services always have the gut feeling test in the back of your mind and if you don’t think the service provider will have your best interests at heart then walk away!
Trust is such a weird and wonderful thing. Once broken, never repaired like a mirror. It is the foundation of human interaction on every surface be it consciously or sub-consciously our minds and bodies are always looking for trusts factors in everything we do.
Hiring a PI is usually a daunting enough choice so make sure you find a PI you can trust above all else as you will likely be in a vulnerable part of your life whilst using our services.
